We have been busy filming Theresa in the Kitchen working on some of her favorite recipes for her upcoming cooking DVD that will be out later this year. She will also be featured on two of the new episodes of the “LIFE’S HIGHWAY” TV show.  Theresa is known for her knowledge and expertise in the kitchen.  Theresa’s grandparents came to America in the early 1900’s from Italy.  She has spent many days with her grandmother learning how to cook.  She also gets great recipes and ideas from people while on the road.  Her DVD will feature main dishes, side dishes, and several great desserts.  Theresa is pictured here with authentic Italian Spagetti and Meatballs.  Let’s have some fun with this……Email us your idea of what you think Theresa should name her DVD!  If we use your idea, we will send you a “LIFE’S HIGHWAY”  T-shirt!  Also, go to Facebook and become a fan of Wade Spencer!  By the way, What is your favorite main course you would like to see on Theresa’s DVD?

Two of my friends from Ukraine shown here modeling their new “Life’s Highway” T-shirts!  Roma Vashchuk and his wife Roza came to the US with Lena Gorianska last summer to visit with us.  They also recorded two songs with me on my CD “Fresh Awakening”.  They really enjoyed working in the studio with Kevin Ward.  You can hear Roma singing “I Thought of God”, and Lena singing “When He Comes” with me on YOUTUBE.

My good friend Leonard Dolce brought me a real nice load of firewood, and my neighbor, Steve Ayers started combining the soybeans around my house today.  Just reminders that Autumn is here!  My boys, Joel and Thomas and I split and stacked firewood while Theresa baked 3 Lemon Meringue pies.  One for her dad, one for our Pastors birthday, and one for us.  I love days like this.

Tomorrow, Theresa and I go back on the road.  I will be in concerts in Indiana all weekend.

For you hunters out there, I have been out 2 times with my bow so far.  I could have taken 3 different 8 points one evening while hunting on the ground but passed on all of them.  I’m trying to stay out of the woods and get all my fall work done first, so, when the hunting gets really good, I’ll be free to go. How about you? Any of you taken deer yet?  I did take a 4 X 5 Bull Elk with my bow on August 30 in Colorado. My friend Ric Browning also took a 5 X 5 the first day.  We had a great trip.

The horse in the picture with me is my new paint, named Scobee.  I just had her broke and trained by Tyler Lyon at Lyon’s Ranch in Marysville, Ohio.  I didn’t take her with us to Colorado this year, but next year she will go with us.

When at home or on the road, Theresa and I search out Mexican restaurants.  We have found some of the best in Texas and New Mexico.  Although, some times the salsa is so hot in the southwest we can’t hardly handle it.  Here is a picture of Theresa here close to home at one of our favorite places.  Theresa is a great cook, but it is still nice to just go out and eat when we are home.  Where are the best Mexican restaurants around the country?  Let us know and we will look them up when we are on our travels!  Theresa came in the office while I was writing this and she said “Every time you write a blog about me, it is always about food”.  What can I say?  If the shoe fits wear it!

My wife Theresa learned to make bread while on a 3 month mission trip to Canada when she was 17.  Cinnamon bread is her specialty.  She hadn’t made it for a while but decided to make some last week.  Theresa enjoys her time in the kitchen when we are not on the road, and I enjoy the good “stuff” she comes up with.  She took one of these loaves to Pastor Strachen at our church last Wednesday night.  He is from Canada, (we’ll excuse him for that) but he knows good bread when he sees it.  She is a wonderful cook.  Have you met my wife at my concerts or talked with her on the phone while booking a date?  Everyone loves Theresa!
